World Wide Web or Internet




What is the Internet?

The Internet is a massive network of networks, a networking infrastructure. It connects millions of computers together globally, forming a network in which any computer can communicate with any other computer as long as they are both connected to the Internet. Information that travels over the Internet does so via a variety of languages known as protocols.

What is the World Wide Web?

It is a system of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via the Internet. With a Web browser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos, and multimedia an navigate between them using hyperlinks documents accessed via the Internet. Give examples of things people do on the Web and the role of the Internet in those activities- email, for example?

Online Shopping- The internet provides internet shopping for customers without having to go to stores to actually shop for goods.
Facebook- Online communication
